I am glad that you made it here! If you struggle with food and body image, you have come to the right place. Maybe you think about food all the time, or yo-yo diet, or maybe you find yourself restricting what you eat without knowing why, or how to stop.

I work with individuals of all ages to understand what is at the root of their challenges with food and disordered eating. I can help you find a lifelong, sustainable approach to weight management, nutrition, and movement, that doesn’t consume you. I support individuals working toward or in recovery from anorexia, bulimia, bingeing and night eating.

I offer walk-and-talk sessions as an alternative to traditional psychology. If this interests you and you have additional questions, let me know!

I believe that therapy should feel like a place where you don’t have to have it all together. My goal is to create a warm, genuine, and non-judgmental space where you feel safe enough to explore the parts of your story that may have been difficult to carry on your own. Whether you’re navigating addiction, overwhelming emotions, anxiety, trauma, or major life transitions, I’ll meet you where you are with compassion, curiosity, and honesty.

I have a particular passion for working with individuals experiencing substance use concerns and co-occurring mental health challenges, including bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, OCD, eating disorders, anxiety, and mood disorders. I enjoy working with people who have often felt misunderstood, helping them better understand themselves while building practical skills to create lasting change. I believe that healing isn’t about becoming a different person—it’s about reconnecting with who you are underneath the pain.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. Together, we’ll explore patterns that may no longer be serving you, strengthen your ability to manage difficult emotions, and build a life that feels meaningful and aligned with your values. I draw from evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Narrative Therapy.

I know that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and I don’t take that trust lightly. I bring authenticity, warmth, and sometimes a little humour into the room because I believe meaningful therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating. My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, challenged when needed, and with the confidence that change is possible.

Hi, I’m Farhat! I want therapy to be a place where you feel really understood, supported, and empowered not only to uncover the root of what’s keeping you stuck, but also to rewire those patterns for lasting change.

I work with children, adolescents, couples, and individual adults. I want to help you understand why certain unhelpful patterns keep repeating in your life and work with you to rewire them from the root.

I incorporate Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy (NT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and attachment-based approaches into my sessions. I tailor these approaches to you and what you’d benefit most from.

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW), Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), and Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology. I work especially well with clients experiencing challenges related to anxiety, trauma, depression, burnout, stress, perfectionism, people-pleasing, ADHD, shame, self-criticism, imposter syndrome, intimate relationship challenges, addiction, self-esteem concerns, and questions around cultural identity.

Let’s explore the patterns keeping you stuck, understand where they come from, and build practical tools you will use for the rest of your life!”
